What is parent coaching?
Parenting is deeply rewarding—but it can also be really hard. Maybe you’re trying to parent in a way that reflects your values, feeling overwhelmed by daily household tasks, or simply wanting to feel more connected with your child. Parent coaching aims to support you in your parenting journey.
What you’ll learn
In our work together, you’ll learn practical strategies to respond to your child’s big emotions and behavior with empathy, while setting clear limits. We’ll also tackle the everyday challenges that can add stress to family life, like managing screen time, building routines, coordinating busy schedules, or motivating your child to get their homework and chores done. We’ll find approaches that fit your family’s needs, reduce tension around daily tasks, and create systems to help your household run more smoothly.
My approach
My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices such as behavioral parent training and parent-child interaction therapy (PCIT), which are treatments that emphasize positive reinforcement, consistent limit setting, and skill building for both parents and children. At the heart of this work is a focus on the parent-child relationship, which I believe is the foundation for lasting change.
